Catherine McGee

Catherine is a first-year M.Sc. student in the Department of Physiology, investigating how CD8+ T cells sense and adapt to the mechanical properties of their environment. Her research focuses on uncovering the molecular pathways that allow T cells to respond to tissue stiffness and understanding how these
mechanical cues shape T cell behaviour and function.

 

Outside the lab, Catherine is a competitive artistic swimmer who loves music, travelling, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors
