A bit of rain didn't stop our informal lab retreat with the Quail, Walsh, and Spicer groups to the Gault Nature Reserve in Mont St. Hilaire, QC! Inspired by Itai Yanai's visit to McGill, the two-day retreat was centered around exploring "day science" and "night science" through science- and career-related workshops, team-building games and outdoor activities.

Today, research at the Mandl Lab is officially beginning ramp-up!
Since March 19th, research at the lab has been quiet and at a baseline level - with the majority of our team members remaining at home and working from home, playing their role in minimizing the spread of Covid-19. Many of our lab members have turned their kitchens into mini-lab benches - experimenting in the realms of cooking, baking and cocktails! In addition, the Mandl Lab has donated boxes of PPE to the local hospitals in an effort to support and show gratitude to Montreal's health workers.
As our team begins the return to the official lab bench, taking care to adhere to the strict safety protocols, we look forward to once more returning to our research!
